It was a privilege to represent the Indian Plast Pack Forum as a panelist, discussing how Indore’s robust manufacturing sectors—from polymers to pharma—are driving the state's economic engine. Collaborative platforms like these are essential for scaling local innovation to a national level.


The commercial landscape of Madhya Pradesh reached a significant milestone as the ET Make in India SME Regional Summit concluded in Indore on March 13, 2026. This high-profile gathering served as a vital junction for entrepreneurs and policymakers to deliberate on the future of the state's 2.4 million registered MSMEs, which currently contribute nearly 30 percent to the regional GDP and support over 10 million jobs.

The summit centered on the theme of Indore as an industrial powerhouse, specifically targeting growth in the automobile, textile, pharmaceutical, and agro-processing sectors. During the core panel discussions regarding the manufacturing engines of Madhya Pradesh, Sachin Bansal, President of the Indian Plast Pack Forum, provided expert insights alongside other prominent industry figures such as Gautam Kothari and Yogesh Mehta. The presence of Sachin Bansal underscored the critical role that organized industrial forums play in bridging the gap between local manufacturing capabilities and global market standards.



Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani delivered the keynote address, highlighting how Indore's strategic logistics and digital connectivity have transformed the city into a flourishing business ecosystem. Beyond the panel sessions, the event featured success stories from local disruptors and explored essential financial and insurance strategies through partnerships with IDBI Bank and New India Assurance. As the third annual edition of this series expands to 20 cities, the Indore summit has successfully reinforced a collaborative framework for small and medium enterprises to scale their operations and contribute to the national economic vision.
