FICCI- Awareness Program on Sustainability in ESG for MSMEs and Implementing Sustainable Business Practices


MSMEs Urged to Embrace Sustainable Business Practices     

Indore, Madhya Pradesh: On 27 March 2025  the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Madhya Pradesh State Council held an enlightening awareness program to advance sustainability and promote the integration of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles within Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).  

This initiative strives to cultivate an enabling ecosystem for MSMEs to embrace ESG frameworks by convening the ESG Community, the Sustainable Business Academy, and other Responsible Development stakeholders.  


The event attracted distinguished speakers, including Mr. Sachin Bansal, President of the Indian Plant Pack Forum; Yogesh Mehta, President of the Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh (AIMP); Soumil Bhatt, Head of Administration at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital; Arun Victor, Vice President of EKI Energy Ecosystem Limited; Anurag Asati, Founder of The Vagaswala; and Surya Prakash Valluri, CSO of Birla Cellulosic, Grasim Industries Limited.  


Mr. Sachin Bansal shared valuable insights into plastic Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), elaborating on its diverse aspects. He further examined the central and state governments’ plastic recycling policies, presenting a comparative analysis of their past and current implementation through pertinent data and statistics. Notably, Hindustan Unilever Limited and HSBC India are extending their support to FICCI's Plastic Action Programme for India, a move aimed at reinforcing the economy.
